Ahwach
In Berber celebrations, women are making most of it, when men are quietly seating. At some point of time, for any kind of reason, without identifiable signal, some women take drums, or whatever available, glasses, trays, doors... and start to sing, all very closely gathered, while one or two women, one after the other, go in the middle of the circle and dance.
But when the music and rhythms are so appealing, then the men join, forming a second circle around the women. The music becomes even louder, the rhythms are quickening, the two circles are moving and blending together... this is what one calls "to make the ahwach"
