The Mezgarne Oasis is a camping place with 6 traditional
tents used by the nomadic Berbers. Each of them can host to 6 people…
as well as a single traveller. In order to preserve your comfort,
we voluntary limit our hosting capacity and wish not to lodge more
than 25 persons at the same time. We offer 3 individual showers,
with hot water in the morning and in the evening (and we can also
produce hot water during the day if you ask for it), European WC,
and a kitchen where we can prepare breakfasts, teas, tajines and
meals. |
| You can enjoy our specialties in a restaurant sheltered
from the sun and the wind, eating the European way or the traditional
Moroccan , with hand and bread in a large common tajine. We also
offer cold and warm drinks, but we have no alcohol licence. (Nevertheless,
you can bring your own bottles). We cook Moroccan salads, tajines,
coucous and meat skewers. You can also taste mint tea (atay bin
nâa-nâa), or, in winter, the delicate absinth tea (atay
bin chebâ). |

For the night we install one or two thin mattresses,
blankets as much as you want (except in the summer, our nights in
the desert are always cool) and candles. At full moon, you can see
the light of the moon passing through the woollen deck….
When leaving for a tour you can, if you wish, leave your luggage
in a locked room
You can access the camping with normal car as well as a 4-wheels
vehicle. We are located at the exit of Tazzarrine, in the direction
of Alnif. |

| Riads, formerly mansions in the medina transformed
into hotels, are very numerous and you can find anything, from the
most reasonable to the most luxurious, for a dream stay in the core
of the old city.
We have selected one, with which we are regularly working, the
Riad Sid-Ayoub, near Bab-Aïlan (with a car access), 5 rooms,
2 suites, several sitting-rooms, terrace and pool.

It’s possible to sleep for a very low price
in Morocco, in non-classified hotels, or on terraces or in sitting
rooms in some hotels. The night will cost you between 20 and 60
dirham.
For a little bit more you can find rather comfortable rooms in 1-star
hotels. Always ask to visit the room before you take your key, because
comfort and conditions can differ from one room to the other. Test
the shower, and the arrival of warm water, and, depending on the
season, choose between coolness (upper floors) or warm water arrival
(ground floor or first floor, higher, the water pressure is often
questionable).
Taking higher categories, you’ll find air-conditioning,
or at least fans, larger rooms with better noise protection.
In all categories you can find excellent hotels, of flawless cleanliness,
offering a warm and careful service… as well as the worst
! Be careful also to the fact that standards have a different
(and usually lower) meaning than in Europe.
Rooms are invoiced per person, a single room being the same as
a double, but with a rebate. If you stay two nights in a row in
a hotel, you should also have a rebate, it’s a decision
of the Moroccan National Tourism Office, which must be displayed,
as well as the prices.
You’ll always have to fill the police record, detailing
where you come from, and where you go, and giving your passport
and entry number (a number stamped on your passport the first
time you enter Morocco).
