Mezgarne camping place

Whether you wish to explore the jebel off-road in a Land-Rover, and drive through the dried-up and sandy riverbeds (oued) of the Moroccan Deep South, or trek in the Middle-Atlas mountains, and perhaps follow the traditional transhumance of the last nomads ….

Whether you wish to experience a more comfortable tour, on tarmac, and visit Berber villages and kasbahs, and discover the imperial cities and the coastline…

or if you just want to spend a night or a few days resting in a simple and comfortable oasis ....

the team of the Mezgarne Oasis will try to fulfil all your needs, with its usual professionalism and warm welcome…

Morocco’s Deep South is a land of contrasts with fabulous landscapes, a magical land on the edge of Africa that offers so many things. You won’t forget the sun rising over Merzouga sand dunes, the warmth of the campfire in a Berber village where nothing changes for more than thousand years, the night walk under twinkling stars and a milky moon, and you won’t forget, last but not least, the heart and smiles of its inhabitants, who gently vie with each other for the honour of welcoming the guest.

4*4 in the desert
The Mezgarne Oasis is located in the Draa valley, in the land of the Aït Atta, a Berber tribe of former nomads and warriors, nowadays settled. It’s a central point for tours in the South, at a few hours drive from the Roses valley (El Kelaa M’Gouna), from Zagora, starting point of the caravans that crossed the Sahara towards Timbuktu, from the Jebel Sahro, still travelled up and down by the Aït Hadiddou, from the valley of the Dades and the Todgra gorges, half a day from large cities like Marrakech, Erfoud, Rissani, at a day from the coast, Agadir, Essaouira and Oualidia…

You can also find here general information about Morocco, and the Berber, or Amazigh country. And we hope you’ll fancy coming to see us.

The mint tea is already poured in the glasses. Moubaran – welcome home!
