Short tour that can easily be combined with your tour if you want
to discover Morocco on your own. We take you to our desert and mountains,
and hope that this will make you come back later on for a longer stay…
Inch’Allah !
Attention: this short tour is organized for a morning departure and
return in the evening, in Ouarzazate. For any transfer, please consult
us. |
| |
Day 1 |
Ouarzazate - Merzouga sand
dunes |
 |
We drive through the Roses
valley, visit the Dades
and Todra gorges
before we reach the huge sand dunes of Merzouga
that deploy their waves over more than 30 km. You are at the
beginning of the large Sahara, the desert that covers all Africa
and which was crossed by Berber caravans. It is possible for
you to sleep in the dunes, under the sky, if you want a bivouac,
or to organize a camel ride (extra costs). |
| |
|
Day 2 |
Merzouga – Mezgarne Oasis |
 |
We leave the desert to join Rissani,
first Muslim city. We visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif,
and the former alaouite palace, in renovation, and the ksours
around. Rissani is also a large commercial centre. Its huge
souk takes place three times a week. After that, we reach Mezgarne
where a glass of tea awaits you, before spending the night in
a Berber tent. |
| |
|
Day 3 |
Mezgarne Oasis - M’hami via Tiz
n’Tilalet |
 |
We visit the cave carvings of Aït Ouazik,
and, by a stony track, drive to Zagora,
one of the last cities before Sahara, and departure point for
the caravans that crossed it towards Timbuktu in 52 days with
camels. We arrive in M’hamid where we spend the night
under the tent, at the foot of erg Lehoudi (or erg of the Jews).
|
| |
|
| Day 4 |
M’hamid - Ouarzazate |
 |
We follow the Draa
valley and its palm grove to take you back to Ouarzazate.
If you wish, we can also book you a hotel room, or organize
your transfer (extra costs). |
